WORKFLOW GUIDE
How to Use DTF Film
New to DTF printing? Here's the full workflow from film to finished garment.
STEP 01
Load Film
Load the film into your DTF printer with the coated (matte) side facing the print heads. The glossy side faces down.
STEP 02
Print Your Design
Print using your RIP software (we use RIIN). Your printer lays down CMYK inks followed by a white underbase layer.
STEP 03
Apply DTF Powder
While the ink is still wet, apply hot-melt adhesive powder evenly over the printed area. Shake off the excess.
STEP 04
Cure the Powder
Pass the printed film through a curing oven or use a heat press at 120°C for 2–3 minutes to melt the powder into the ink.
STEP 05
Heat Press
Press onto your garment at 160°C with medium pressure for 10–15 seconds. Warm peel, then repress for 10–15 seconds.
STEP 06
Done
Your transfer is applied. Vibrant, wash-resistant, and ready to wear. Works on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon and more.
